Carrying out remote end point assessment amid Covid-19

Amid all the concerns brought by Covid-19, or coronavirus, end point assessment (EPA) may not be a priority, but many apprentices would like to find answers.

Fortunately, recently issued government guidance states that apprentices can continue to study their apprenticeship and undergo end point assessment, even if furloughed.

1st for EPA carries out all assessment remotely and is able to carry out end point assessment as planned.

Where our current apprentices have not been able to effectively prepare, or need to prioritise other duties, we will be offering reasonable accommodations to ensure a fair and consistent assessment service for all.

For new EPA bookings, we will continue to offer full guidance to allow apprentices to effectively prepare for their end point assessment.

We currently offer remote EPA for the HR Consultant/Partner apprenticeship standard. This is carried out remotely, with a project submitted online and a professional discussion carried out via video call with an assessor. All documents and the video call are stored securely for future verification and quality assurance.

With our remote EPA, we ensure those apprentices who want to complete their apprenticeship still have the opportunity to sit their end point assessment to do this.
