What does EPA involve for Data Technician?
The end point assessment, or EPA, for the Data Technician standard is made up of two components:
- Scenario Demonstrations with questioning
- Professional Discussion underpinned by a portfolio
EPA1: Scenario Demonstrations with questioning
The apprentice is given 2 scenarios complete with a data set. They are then given tasks to complete, whilst being observed by an assessor. 45 minutes are given for each scenario..
EPA 2: Professional Discussion underpinned by a portfolio
A portfolio of evidence is submitted at the gateway. The discussion then takes place as a video call between the apprentice and assessor, lasting 60 minutes.
