What does EPA involve for Network Engineer?

The end point assessment, or EPA, for the Network Engineer standard is made up of two components:

  1. Simulation assessment and questioning
  2. Professional discussion underpinned by portfolio

EPA1: Simulation assessment and questioning

Apprentices will undertake two simulation assessments in a virtual lab environment, using Cisco. 1st for EPA provides a practice lab environment, also in Cisco. The questioning, which takes place at a later date, will last for 45 minutes.

EPA 2: Professional Discussion underpinned by a portfolio

The professional discussion is carried out remotely, by video call, between the apprentice and the assessor. It will last 60 minutes and 1st for EPA provides full guidance.
