1st for EPA Company Changes

Assessment is evolving, and so are we.

The assessment reforms will phase in a more flexible assessment model, known as apprenticeship assessment. This term will eventually replace the term ‘end point assessment’ for new starts. In line with these changes and to ensure we’re best positioned for our growth plans, we have taken the decision to change the company name.

Over the next few weeks, 1st for EPA will become known as 1st for Awarding. The company name change reflects the changes in the sector and cements who we are as an awarding organisation.

We’ll still have the same great team, service and commitment to quality and to apprentices.

What does the change mean for you?

We’ve already written to our customers and centres with details of the changes and how it affects them. We’ve handled the details so there’s no disruption to apprentices.

From October, you’ll see our brand, website, support materials and email addresses change. All existing email addresses will still work and we’ve ensured there’s no material change that will affect apprentices. We’ll still have the same code for the ILR (EPA0440), and we’ve made sure our communications are clear.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who’s been part of the process. Please help us spread the word to ensure a smooth transition.
