Compliance Coordinator
If you love…
✔ Spotting a typo from 10 feet away
✔ Creating systems that are tidy, efficient, and actually make sense
✔ Asking “But is it compliant?” at least once a day
✔ Making processes smoother, smarter, and more consistent
✔ Quietly geeking out over regulatory frameworks (looking at you, Ofqual)
…then you might be our next Compliance Coordinator.
At 1st for EPA, we deliver End-Point Assessments (EPA) that are fair, supportive and truly meaningful. We’re values-led, purpose-driven, and proud to be a B Corp. Now, we’re looking for a Compliance Coordinator who’ll help us stay true to our standards while raising the bar.
You’ll be the steady hand that keeps our compliance world running smoothly—carrying out document reviews, audit checks, and helping us stay aligned with quality, regulation, and all things Ofqual. You’ll help keep our standards high, our paperwork tight, and our apprentices protected.
🌟 What You’ll Be Owning
Your role will help ensure every apprentice journey ends with trust and integrity. You’ll:
- Conduct compliance spot checks, audits, and reviews to make sure we meet all the right regs (and our own high standards)
- Review documents and data with a sharp eye and sense of purpose ensuring secure document management
- Keep policies, registers, and records up to date and audit-ready
- Spot patterns, flag risks, and suggest smarter, simpler ways to improve
- Check Statements of Results and support our Quality team with key admin tasks
- Help us stay in line with Ofqual requirements and sector expectations
- Support queries, appeals, and requests for reasonable adjustments
- Collaborate with colleagues across the business to build a culture of clarity, care, and quality
🙌 What You’ll Bring:
- Experience in a quality or compliance role—ideally within EPA, apprenticeships or regulated environments
- An understanding of Ofqual’s General Conditions of Recognition
- The ability to work with precision, even under pressure
- Confidence using systems and handling data
- Brilliant communication skills—both written and verbal
- A curious mind and a collaborative, can-do attitude
- A genuine belief in fairness, transparency, and doing things the right way
💚 Why Join Us?
At 1st for EPA, we take our work seriously, not ourselves. You’ll be part of a team that’s growing fast, thinking big, and doing good. You’ll have autonomy, support, and a real say in how we shape things going forward.
And because we believe in looking after our people, you’ll get:
- Salary range £26,000-£28,000 depending on experience
- A remote-first role with flexibility built in
- Co-working days once a month (with lunch on us!)
- 25 days’ holiday plus 8 bank holidays
- 8 Wellbeing Hours per year—use them to get a massage, read a book, have a lie-in, or just take a breather
- Flexible working to help life and work fit together
- All the kit you need to do your job well – laptop, monitor, and accessories
- The chance to grow with a business that’s all about purpose, not just process
