What’s involved in Associate Project Manager end point assessment?
The end point assessment for Associate Project Manager has two components. At 1st for EPA, we provide detailed guidance and resources for all assessment methods:
- Written project report with presentation and questioning
- Professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence
EPA 1: Written project report with presentation and questioning
Associate Project Manager apprentices will complete a project while on-programme. For the first part of their EPA, apprentices will submit a 3,500-word written project report and presentation. They will then deliver the 20-minute presentation and undergo 40-minute questioning with the assessor.
EPA 2: Professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence
Apprentices submit a portfolio of evidence at gateway. This is used to support the professional discussion, which will be conducted by video call, one-to-one between the apprentice and assessor. It will last 60 minutes.

Remote assessment for Associate Project Manager
Our EPA for Associate Project Manager is carried out remotely, using video calling for live assessments.
We have flexible scheduling, with short lead times for bookings. We work with employers and apprentices across England.
Timescales for Associate Project Manager EPA
The EPA period for the Associate Project Manager standard is typically 5 months, though apprentices can complete sooner if they wish.
The project is completed while the apprentice is on-programme. The written project report and presentation are submitted by the end of week 12 of the EPA period, with the presentation delivery, questioning and professional discussion typically taking place 2 weeks later.
